One half of one of my all time favorite hip hop duos has passed. Prodigy of Mobb Deep.

I can remember back in the early 90's when I had the opportunity to meet Prodigy through one of my family members who grew up with P in Queens, Ny.  I remember Prodigy asking me how did I get my album that I released pressed up without using a record label. They had just released their first album and really didn't know the inner workings of the record business. We chopped it up briefly as I watched Havoc cook up some beats at his home in Hempstead, NY. I was able to catch a few studio sessions with them when they were mixing the scarface sampled track G.O.D. Pt.III Very cool down to earth dude Prodigy was. S.I.P my brother.  Always will be one of my favorite rap duos of the 90's.
